Yes Virginia. Dynamic SQL in SPL is possible.

About the #4 most FAQ in this list is "How do I write a query in SPL when I don't know the table/column name/have a different predicate?" Well, I wrote an extension that works in IDS.2000/IIF.2000 to let you do this. If you want to take advantage of it, you're going to have to upgrade, I'm afraid. It's available from: http://www.iiug.org/software/index_ORDBMS.html The README link on that page describes what it does. I have tested it on Solaris/SGI and NT. That's all the iron I have. *Please* consider this kind of a beta release. I've gone after it pretty hard QA-wise, but the more people who use it, and the more bugs they find, the happier I will be. A couple of notes: THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED INFORMIX PRODUCT. Please do not call tech support to report a bug in EXEC(). This is a personal experiment in open source development. Finally, in the words of the great Linus T. "Patches. Send me patches."
