I know this sounds like a real newbie question but...

...I've always used 4GL for everything and I've never had to try and do anything clever in PERFORM. Now I *have* to use it 8-( Imagine the situation... I have a 2 tables; shipdoc and addresses. Now for reasons that are far to boring to go into now I have to save the address data for each shipping document on the shipping document (very non-normalised I know). However, I do want to look up the address in the addresses table when I'm creating the shipdoc record. The key to my addresses table is addrcode, addritem. I'm getting the customer code entered and then the address item. However, I can't use both values for my lookup <blah> joining <more blah>. The result is that I'm getting the first record in the table when the lookup is actioned. What am I missing? I know that it can be done; I have access to a system where it is being done (sadly, no access to the source). In the app I've seen when you enter the customer code the main address comes up and it changes if an address item other than 1 is entered. This is my ideal. I hope someone out there can help me.
