Hi,
All
Recently I installed IDS .3 on Sun Solaris 2.6
The server is running fine.......
When I use the dbaccess to view the tables in sysmaster and
sysutil database I ma not able to find the tables like
1. sysusers etc ......
2. MIBS tables ..
Please tell me where to find them or how to Install the SYSTEM CATALOG
Thanks in Advance

We just had the similar problem during a reinstall on our test system. The
sysmaster
database would not be created by an oninit -i command. There were error
message
logged in the Informix error log file. Informix technical support told us
how to
create them manually which worked but we did not feel comfortable with this.
Our system is an 8 processor machine. We finally found out that the
oninit -icommand will not work properly on our system unless we configured the engine
for 1 processor only. We could them shut the engine down, reconfigure the
processors
and restart successfully. The initialization process appears to have some
bugs.
