1. I would imagine both
2. Read the manual about what the 'b' option from sqlhosts does and
what the IFX_NETBUF_SIZE environment variable does.
3. To see if it is set look at the environment of each client and the
environment of when the server is started.
To see what it should be set of look at the output of onstat -g
ntu. Well if there are no free buffers in the private pool for the
sessions and
onstat -g ntm shows the free buffer threshold was exceeded andthis happens a lot (where a lot is a judgement call or can be
determined by
benchmarking the system) then increase the value and benchmark
again.
