Assert Failure on I-Star from 7.31 to 5.10

We recently upgraded to 7.31.UC5 from 7.30.UC10. When attempting to I-Star from the 7.31 box to a 5.10.UD1 box it assert fails. This occurs on very simple "select * from db@instance:table" calls. I can I-star from 5.x to 7.31 and from 7.31 to 7.31 without problems. I was also able to reproduce this when attempting to create a synonym. The client gets the following back before the assert failure: Unable to open input file 's' Unable to open input file 'c' Bad file number nnection is broken.
