New release: beautify-unl.sh
Posted in 2001
Hi Family. Just a note to let you know I'm still alive (so who cares, right?) and that I have just released a new edition of by semi-generic script, beautify-unl.sh (That's with a -minus, not under_score.) This version has fixed a small bug wherein a negative number was not recognized as numeric so it was presented left-justified in its column. However it has a new feature worth the new release: Decimal alignment. This makes it behave a bit more like your spreadsheets; if your column has number like: 123 -56.6 7.89102 they will show up as: 123.00000 -56.60000 7.89102 Give it a whirl and tell me what you think. It can be found in the IIUG archives (thanks, Walter) under URLs: View: http://www.iiug.org/members/memb_software/archive/beautify-unl Download: ftp://ftp.iiug.org/pub/informix/pub/beautify-unl.gz I'm also working on a total rewrite of who-lock.sh but that's another story. -- +----- Jacob Salomon - DBA JakeSalomon@netscape.net -------------------+ |------------------- Bulletin Board Announcement ----------------------| | Congregants will please note that the bowl at the back of the church | | bearing the sign "For the Sick" is for monetary contributions only. | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/
