error -439
Posted in 2007
Hi all, I have a web page in php that does a number of queries to pull up various bits of information on students. Occasionally, this page produces the following: ERROR: Database server is currently processing SQL task. Error #: -439 Database: SOL File: /var/apache/share/irislink/helpers/dbconnect.php Line: 50 The line it's failing on is the call to ifx_connect(); I've looked at the extended description for this error, and it mentions a number of things about asynchronisity and attempting to execute a query from within or during a signal-handling routine or a callback function/procedure. This might make sense to me if the error wasn't occurring while I was trying to get a database handle. So that leads me to wonder about the number of database handles out there. This is a comparatively slow time of year for us (students are away on summer break), so I'm not really expecting that to be an issue, but I don't know what else to think. It's a problem that it occurs rarely, and we've not been able to reproduce it in our office. When users refresh the page, they don't see the message again (ie. The page works fine). If you have an answer for this in your bag, I'd love to hear it. If not, any suggestions on how to troubleshoot it would be wonderful. Thanks, Brian McLaughlin
