Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Daniel Isven got error -201 creating a simple stored procedure with RETURNING INTEGER. Thomas Parsli suggested CREATE FUNCTION, which failed the same way; Christian Brauer thought functions were only for the Universal Server, not IDS. David Williams said CREATE PROCEDURE only works in dbaccess, not isql. No confirmed fix was reported.

Hi
I get the most stupid errors when I try to create a stored procedures.
But probabli I'm the one that's stupid. I have never done this before so
I don't really know what to do and I can't seem to find anything about
it in any manual either. Can anyone help me with this.
I'm trying to create the procedure below and i get error -201, syntax
error.
CREATE PROCEDURE proc_name
RETURNING INTEGER; RETURN 7;
END PROCEDURE
Thanx, Daniel

RTFM;)
CREATE FUNCTION proc_name ()
RETURNING INTEGER; RETURN 7;
END FUNCTION;
Thomas

I think you can use "create function" only using UDO, not IDS...
