tablespace:tablespace`

Hi
I have a problem, when I run an oncheck -pe it reports a lot of
tablespace:tablespace in my temp space. I am also getting errors that
there is not enough contigious space to do sorts. So in an attempt fix
this I am going to do the following:
* Create new temporary chunks and dbspaces.
* Change the DBSPACETEMP in the onconfig (get rid of currnet ones
replace with new ones)
* Restart the engine
* I would then like to drop the old dbspaces - but this is impossible
as it thinks there is still data in it.
* So I will rebuild the chunks from system level (will this cause any
problems - ie wiping the chunk but still having the dbspace listed
in the sytem?)
* Recreate old tempspaces as dbspaces etc and add them back in.
My main concern is that when I rehash the chunks from the OS level it
will stuff up soemthing at the infomrix level. Will informix think that
dbspace exists even if I drop the chunk at OS level. Any better ways to
do this? Is this tablespace:tablespace a bug?
thanks a lot

TBLSPACE TBLSPACE is used to store information of extent allocation within
the dbspace.

So far, so good.

Check again after restarting. You may find that they have disappeared. In
any case, TBLSPACEs in the first chunk of your dbspace do not cause
problems. If they exist in other chunks of your dbspace, you may or may not
have problems when trying to drop the dbspace.

Dont! If you cannot drop the dbspace, Tech Support should be able to fix
it.

Sounds good.
