dbping TCP/IP connection fail

Dear there, Have the following problem happen to you? It seems difficult. I've setup the ODBC via driver informix v3.30 32 bit in my pc. Then use 'dbping' to test connection and it show out: connection failed It said the passward is wrong, but the passward I key-in is correct. Is there another parameter to authorize the connection? I have had this same problem, when I investigated, I found that the 'options' parameter had a 1 in it. Once removed the connection worked fine. However every once-in-a-while the 1 appears again. I have not been able to figure out what causes it to come back, and Informix tech did not have an answer.
