IDS2000 installation's problems Sun 7

Hi, I would like to know if someone can help me with the installation of Server Informix. I'm trying to install Informix Dynamic Server.2000 V9.20.UC2-1 for Sun Solaris 2.5, 2.5.1, 2.6, 7 - Evaluation Copy. My Server is Sun Solaris 7 Intel. I have created a new entry for group informix and user, a new Informix product directory INFORMIXDIR, and prepared the Informix's Enviroment with INFORMIXDIR=/informix/productexport INFORMIXDIR PATH=$PATH:$INFORMIXDIR/binexport PATH After the process of unzip I have loaded the server with the command "tar xvf server.zip" but when I try to install the server with the script "installserver" I have received this error: Installing directory . Installing directory aaodir Installing directory bin etc/install: etc/brand: cannot execute Installation of Informix Dynamic Server 2000 failed. I have read the installation guide for IDS.2000 on UNIX and followed it but it is not enough. Thank you.

Usually it means you're trying to install a 64-bit product on a 32-bit OS. Hi I feel very strange here, can we install IDSXXX(what ever) for Sun salaris(Sparc CPU) to intel solaris(intel CPU)? No. The version of the software listed can only be run on SPARC-based computers running those version of Solaris. Intel-based computers require the Intel-based version of the server. --jrp
