RE: You've heard it all before: newer, faster server runs slower than older, slower server after data migration

Nope, same paint job, but the new one has racing stripes and a spoiler! The main reason for the upgrade was to connect a new machine to a larger set of drives and configure everything while the old one stayed online. Also the CPU's are a bit faster and we will be gutting the old one to build an OLTP server to run beside the DSS server (which is currently running both OLTP and DSS). My, my. That's quite the upgrade.... I hope the new one has a sporty paint job or something. == "Outlook not so good." That magic 8-ball knows everything! I'll ask about Exchange Server next. _____________________________________________________________ Want a new web-based email account ? ---> http://www.firstlinux.net
