Database Connection Failures

Hi All
Could someone please give some advice?
I'm getting these sorts of messages appearing on a dbaccess session
when the system is busy - 370+ active informix threads (onstat -u |
tail -2) .
: The appl process cannot connect to Dynamic Server {instance name}
and
: ** Warning: Network Down **
Should I increase these settings in the onconfig file?
NETTYPE soctcp,1,100,NET # Override sqlhosts nettype parameters
NETTYPE ipcshm,1,100,CPU # Override sqlhosts nettype parameters
Not sure what the problem is... but I believe it may be a limit has
been reached, but not sure.
btw, nothing appearing in the online.log, when this has been occuring
and no issues with the LAN.
Any help much appreciated..
Regards
Jim

Before you buy.
The fact that you have 370 active threads and are only configured for
100 shared memory connections and 100 network connections is not a
clue? Yes, increase the NETTYPE number of connections to 400 each, it
costs very little.
