Re: Session memory grows a lot

This kind of memory allocation can be caused by a "feature" in the INET driver (in a C/S environment). Use of ODBC and INET 5.01.WG1 or higher can cause problems. Try using INET 5.01.WF2 as a possible sol'n. The "feature" was explained to my by an I'fx engineer as a change in the way the INET driver handles the "free cursor" statement. Apparently, the default behavior is to not pass the request to the engine. The only fix was for the ODBC mfg to recompile their drivers with a different ESQL/C flag (or down-rev your INET driver). -d Thomas J.
