Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
In last few days I observed potentialy alarming thing in Infomix log: long
fuzzy checkpoints.
That is, few times a day I get fuzzy checkpoint that lasts for 5-10 seconds.
Maybe it doesn't sound so long, but this is the statistics that I gathered
for last three months.
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 0 [s] = 14528
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 1 [s] = 1441
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 2 [s] = 380
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 3 [s] = 50
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 4 [s] = 9
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 5 [s] = 6
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 6 [s] = 3
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 7 [s] = 3
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 8 [s] = 0
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 9 [s] = 5
Number of fuzzy chkpoints of duration 10 [s] = 1
... etc.
All those long (>= 5 s) fuzzy checkpoints happened this week.
At the same time whenever I run 'onstat -R' it shows very little dirty
buffers in LRU queues.
Am I supposed to worry about all this?
If yes, what could be the solution to the problem?
Thanks everyone.
