Rows affected?

Is there a way to capture the "rows affected" and return it to the application? (ie, similar to what is returned if using Sql Editor) Info window in Sql Editor -- Executing selected SQL statements in Untitled.sql. update backup_log_tbl set success_failed = "failed" where complete_dt < "2004-04-30 00:00:00.000";-- 10 rows updated.
