Today I make my money teaching Oracle because there are only two RDBMS products students at the university level are interested in learning level just as there are only two RDBMS products corporations are interested in training their employees to use. If Informix had sufficient market-share such that a class could be put together I would be first in line to teach it and gladly do so. The fact that no one wants to learn Informix has the exact same cause as the reason to which you point in your criticism above. BTW: I have a very good relationship with IBM. They are a Platinum sponsor of the Oracle conference I putting together for July (www.oracledays.com) just as they were a sponsor in 2006. I know it would be nice if the facts matched your prejudices but in this case they do not. C'est dommage. -- Daniel A.
