That stands to reason. Most firewalls will not let news through. As
the news server has to be accessible from the outside you will not see
it from the inside.
All this is rather unfortunate.
Some have set up an extra web interface to their private news servers
that can be used to both read and post articles.
I am currently waiting for feedback from our firewall people about
options to get through the firewall. When that's cleared I will talk
to Informix about what they ought to do. The current situation simply
doesn't work.
