Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Our salesmen are always changing their minds about default
values for new customer records. We have a 24-7 system and
I have to kick everybody out just to be able to execute...
alter table customer modify rate char(1) default 'V';
I know the manual says DON'T DO IT, but just how much trouble
could I get in by executing...
update sysdefaults set default = 'V' where tabid = 252 and colno = 23;
Thanks,
Jeff
