The problem is in your client's SELECT statement:
>$ DECLARE GetNxtQ cursor for
> select * from queue
> where clientid = $client and sbsstarttime = 0
> and
> qserialno = ( select min(qserialno) from queue
> where clientid = $client
> and
> priority = ( select max(priority) from queue
> where clientid = $client ) )
> for Update;
Supposing I have two entries in the queue:
clientid = 1 qserialno = 123 priority = 1
clientid = 1 qserialno = 124 priority = 2
Your select statement is looking for
qserialno = 123
priority = 2
and there is no such record.
