1) We have server A and server B, both HPUX 11, running IDS 7.31.UC6. I have created a trigger in server A so that an insert on table X in A will trigger an insert into a table Y in server B. 2) The trigger is invoked inside an application in server A. When I run the application and perform an insert, the trigger is succesful on server B since my login exists in both servers and because I have the required privileges=DBA user. 3) However, if a group of users in server A ran the application (4gl program), the trigger fails since these users are unknown to server B. 4) I cannot create the same group of users and grant them privileges in server B. 5) How would I define the trigger or resolve this issue, in such a way that the trigger is executed by the dba user login, even when the application that calls it is invoked by another user. Hope the above is clear....thanks...

Haven't tried it, but that might work. Alternatively, why not use ER for this? Art S.
