You can do an imported restore from your production instance to your
production copy with ON-Bar and ISM. It is called an imported restore
and you do have to jump through hoops to get it done. The best thing
to do is to read the Informix Storage Manager Admin Guide on page 5-10
and follow the instructions. You are required to have the production
instance name and the copy of production instance name the same. And
you have to copy over some IDS and ISM files to your target machine.
