Input Array Problem under AIX 3

Here is a question to those who can help with INPUT ARRAY. This code snippit works under SCO but not under AIX: If I display the value of pa_slots.[p_curr].data after the assignment, the value DOES get defaulted. If I pause after the DISPLAY statement, the data is on the screen. When control returns to the INPUT ARRAY statement, the data is cleared. Any clues?
