RE: TRUNCATE Table - DROP STORAGE

Don't forget if the 2nd extent is allocated next to the 1st, IDS will 'merge' the two extents so you will still only have one extent. I have 'updated' systables to change a 1st extent value before performing an ALTER FRAGMENT, it worked but is NOT a recommended practice and Tech Support will have a good laugh if it went wrong and you called them Regards Colin There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't >From: "Urich Ann" <Uricha@mcao.maricopa.gov> >To: <informix-list@iiug.org> >Subject: TRUNCATE Table - DROP STORAGE >Date: Wed, 2 Nov 2005 13:11:06 -0700 > >When IDS 10.00.UC4 is available... > >My understanding is.... > "TRUNCATE my_table DROP STORAGE" .... >...
