we hadn't perform any database level 0 backup due to the following error: It was happened when the backup hits 60% onward. 10 % completed 20 % completed 30 40 50 60..... Achieve Failed - Function write to tape failed code -1 errno 28. Tried to execute the same command few times since yesterday but no luck. Will be very much appreciated if someone can help to explain this. Thanks, __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products. Hi K.Hong Lee, according to my local /usr/include/sys/errno.h errno 28 means ENOSPC (in words: no space left on device) Should 28 mean the same on your system (this is not too unlikely), this means the tape is full, after having about 60% successfully backuped. I've never had problems with backups on my system, but a wrong setting of the variables TAPEBLK / TAPESIZE / LTAPEBLK / LTAPESIZE in your onconfig-file could produce this error (i think).
