Yes, in your release notes. It tells you exactly how to set it up.

Basically you need a new NETTYPE entry:
NETTYPE sqlmux,,,
Then the m option set in the fifth field of your sqlhosts entries that
will multiplex:
dbservername nettype hostname servicename m=1
Just remember, your application must support multiplexing.
