We are also running IDS 7.30.UC6-1 on an IBM RS6000 F50. I upgraded fro= m a Informix OnLine 7.22 to IDS 7.30 following the Migration Guide. IDS 7.3= 0 .UC6-1 was installed into a new dir. the environment was changed to poi= nt to this dir. The IDS was brought up again and after sysmaster and sysut= ils was recreated I ran "update statistics" and "oncheck -cI <database-name= >" on all the databases. Since then the "oncheck -cI <database-name>" has = gone from 30 minutes to over 22 hours. I have tried to set the "BTAPPENDERS 1" in the $ONCONFIG. It didn't= help. I have a case running with Informix Tech. in England. But they haven't been able to come with a reason nor a solution. I have a few questions I would like to ask you. Did you upgrade to 7.30 from a later version or did you upgrade by i= nit. a new server and then move the databases to the 7.30 server with dbexport/dbimport? Do you have tables in one dbspace and the associated indexes in an o= ther dbspace or do you keep both indexes and tables in the same dbspace? Any help is appreciated. Bjarne W. Jensen Alm. The following workaround was required to avoid extremely long-running consistency checks.
