: I'm creating a program to archive records and to delete those records : every month ( or week). Right now, i'm getting an error message saying that : there is : "too many locks". I don't know which error message you're referring to -- could you be more specific? Is it returned to the application or is it written to the online.log? The maximum number of locks is set in the OnLine ONCONFIG (or TBCONFIG) file. It can be increased there. But how many rows are you locking at once? Perhaps you should consider breaking it up into smaller batches and committing them fewer at a time.
