Report Tools over IDS

A client just sent me this question...not really my area, so any help would be greatly appreciated! "Can you tell me if there is a tool that will create web-based reports from an Informix Database? I also wonder if there is a tool that has a gui interface that would allow executives the ability to create these reports themselves?" TIA - Mark Scranton Xtivia Inc.

Mark, Do you have an option of writing a program? If yes, you can use Crystal Reports (www.businessobjects.com). If not, you can use WinSQL (www.synametrics.com), which can export queries to HTML files. These files can then be shared by users. You can also print queries results in WinSQL that look like reports.
