Christine has always been a few days behind because of the news service that they use. It just happened that I saw the original article before she did. While I think that the Informix shareholders suit may have merit, this suit by Illustra shareholders doesn't hold water. Illustra should have done their due dilligence. Now if Illustra's shareholders were to sue the former Illustra executives, then it would have merit. (IANAL, but I play one on TV. ;-) They aggreed to exchange shares based on the market price set at an arbitrary date. Had the numbers been reversed, then they wouldn't be complaining. However since they didn't do a due dillegence, they could be considered negligence in their fiduciary duty to their shareholders.... Sorry for all this legalese, but it could be important in the short term and could effect the stock price. Personally I'm bullish on Informix. If they beat street estimates by more than $.05 a share, then they will have two qtrs in a row starting a trend -- #include <std_disclaimer.h> /* Mike Segel (MS385) */ #include <No_Spam.h> #ifdef OFFENDED_BY_CONTENT The author takes no responsibility for this post.
