With thanks to Ben and Andreas, things have installed but oninit won't start. No error messages, but no start and no shared memory allocated (semaphores, yes, but no attached shared memory). I went through onconfig and sqlhosts and edited what seemed to need editing pretty much the same as the 7.30.UC5 files. I cannot find a "installing 9.40 on Linux" document anywhere, so I'm kind of working in the dark, here -- is there a guide somewhere?
