Don't you have access to the GUI front end of the High Performance
Loader ? If you do, I recommend that you use this to create load and
unload "jobs" which you can then execute from the command line, using
the following syntax:-
onpload -p cdw0407 -j ttrdat -fu -l /tmp/ttr.log
where -p = "project" name
-j = "job" name
-fu = Can't remember, but you need it !
-l = load or unload job log file
The High Performance Loader is very fast (38,000,000 rows loaded into
a table in approx 1 hour), BUT watch out for one of its "features":
an "express" load (the HPL has two operating modes - Express and
Deluxe) disables all indexes associated with the table it is loading
data into. This means that a level 0 archive has to be taken after
the data loading has finished and the indexes will have to be
rebuilt.
