sorry for offtopic, but... email question

Is it only me wondering why on this site authors' emails are posted as plain text? I've posted here once about month ago and since then number of junk emails growth catastrophically. Also now I can find my email by plain search in google. This is probably last forum board in the web disclosing members' emails. I've used much, but never seen anything like this. It would be great if some moderators could pay attention on this. Thanks
hmm... they seems to be posted indirectly, in response, like "This is response On Wed, Jul 2, 2008 at 6:56 PM, SOMEONE <email@here> wrote: > original question" Is it normal? And how other people work with it? I would appreciate feedback, because today gmail spam filter missed almost dozen spam emails. Thank you

I get one or two missed spam messages per week (but a lot of non-missed spam). The gmail spam filter is very good once you've got it trained with what you regard as spam. I don't get as many as 1 false positive per month, I think. It is certainly extremely low. Of course, I don't use this gmail account for anything other than IIUG-related postings; that helps. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2008.0513 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we shall never cease to be amused."
