Hello everyone, I'm trying to define an Enterprise Replication system between: - A siemens server (ReliantUNIX-N 5.45 B2005 RM400 4/1024 R10000) Informix 7.31.UD2X4 which is the source server and - A Sun server (5.8 Generic_108528-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880) Informix 9.30.UC4W3, the target server -These servers are synchronized (time) - the CDRSITES_731 is set on my target server (necessary for connection between 9 and 7 informix version servers) - The two groups of servers do have one number and the various connections are related to one or the other in the sqlhosts files. - The target server (Informix version 9) is defined first - When I try to define the source server -with sync option or not- I get this error: "CDR no i = value for g_sdp" (g_sdp is the group of the source server). This is not the first Enterprise Replication I set, so I don't think I made any basic error. Does anyone know that error message or has any idea/clue ? Thank you very much ______________________________________ Karl YVELIN Ingénierie SGBD-Informix 60 rue Etienne Dolet (Rdc) Malakoff -Tel. 77-48 ______________________________________
Jean,
I believe there are two different ways to define group servers in the sqlhosts
file. The method we use specifies an "i" number in the last column, the
options column. We specify a value for each group server that is unique to all
group servers that may talk to each other. For example:
abcd_dvl_g group - - i=2
abcd_dvl_s onsoctcp abcddvl 1540 g=abcd_dvl_g,k=1,s=1
abcd_dvl onipcshm ancddvl abcd_dvl_p1
It sounds as if your engine is looking for the "i" value and can't find it.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to define an Enterprise Replication system between:
- A siemens server (ReliantUNIX-N 5.45 B2005 RM400 4/1024 R10000) Informix
7.31.UD2X4 which is the source server and
- A Sun server (5.8 Generic_108528-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880) Informix
9.30.UC4W3, the target server
-These servers are synchronized (time)
- the CDRSITES_731 is set on my target server (necessary for connection
between 9 and 7 informix version servers)
- The two groups of servers do have one number and the various connections are
related to one or the other in the sqlhosts files.
- The target server (Informix version 9) is defined first
- When I try to define the source server -with sync option or not- I get this
error: "CDR no i = value for g_sdp"
(g_sdp is the group of the source server).
This is not the first Enterprise Replication I set, so I don't think I made
any basic error.
Does anyone know that error message or has any idea/clue ?
Thank you very much
