Hi everybody, I need to install an old OWS 7.2 server on my IBM RS/6000 on AIX after a disc crash. When I run the setup program and I need to indicate the installation directory, the system says all the time Invalid INFORMIXDIR or insufficient space. I remember that it was due to a lack of space in /tmp, so the tempory directory which is used during the installation. I remember also that there was a possibility the indicate another tempory installation directory, but I DON'T KNOW HOW ANYMORE. Does anyone has this information? Thanks, Danny De Koster ddk@fidelity-soft.be

It may check the TMPDIR environment variable Or INFORMIXTMP or DBTEMP Or you could temporarily make a symbolic link from /tmp to some location where you do have enough space ... (as it is only for the installation?).
