PDQ and HPL

I just performed an HPL unload an re-load ona fairly meaty table. It took
about 3 hours to re-enabled the indexes. Although I set PDQPRIORITY in the
session that started the onpload, it didn't use PDQ.
I then dropped and re-created the indexes again, this time through dbaccess,
and it used PDQ and took less than an hour.
Obviously I could just leave off the indexes and add them separately post
HPL load. I just wondered if there's any way of persuading onpload to use
PDQ for the index enable ..?
This is 9.40FC3W2 on HP-UX, btw.
hmm i exect it do do this on itś own; hoewever if it does not set it
in the env. and check it.
for what itś worth i would use onpload to load /unload data and use
dbaccessto build the indexes becaus i am a control freak...
BTW check strings $INFORMIXDIR/bin/onpload |grep -i pdq
it should return pdq.
Superboer.
