gcc, esqlc, solaris2.3, link problem

Hi, New to all this ... No output written to dbDriver.x make: *** [all] Error 1 Informix suggests my problem is using non-standard compiler (gcc) but i believe the answer lies elsewhere what am i doing wrong ?? note gcc and cc are one and the same for my system.
