Re: Porting existing application from Oracle to Informix.

Hi Sharma, We have SAP R/3 and we have in fact ported our databases from Oracle to Informix. However SAP supports this as a migration project and you have to work with SAP-tools and not directly with Informix-tools. But you really need this support. I do not know your application (ASP/ADO) and there are several questions: - Is the application released with Informix? (I assume it is...) - Does the provider support any DB-migration? - Does the application exploit Oracle-specific features? If yes, you may have serious performance problems after the migration. Those must be handled individually. Anyway you test the migration several times before you do it on your productive system. You have to clarify any potential problems before, during and after the migration.
