We have 4 CPUs on the server, instance can us 3, so think 6 GB should be a good number as 9GB seems we don't use most of the space most of the time. With 6GB I was hoping to handle peak times with plenty of room to spare. A good rule of thumb is to set your temp spaces to a multiple of the number of CPUs. More, smaller temp dbspaces typically provide better parallelism and performance so long as there is no bottleneck with storage.
