DHL Worldwide Express has an immediate opening in the Systems Operations group at its Customer Service Center in Tempe, Arizona. The computer professional we seek will manage the implementation of new distributed client-server applications for hundreds of users at this site, integrated with DHL's worldwide network. The environment includes Windows clients accessing Informix 7.1x databases with data replication running on HP-UX servers, with TCP/IP message-based three-tier integration with nationwide services. Database Administrator ====================== * Provides operational support for production applications and databases, including monitoring of techniques, resolution of problems, and database tuning * Ensures overall data integrity and performance * Provides rapid recovery of data and core production capability * Secondary responsibility for UNIX systems support and the networked client-server environment Requires: * 2+ years in database administration with solid UNIX and Informix experience; Sybase experience is a plus * 2+ years responsibility for production application support in an environment hosting multiple large databases * Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or equivalent experience We support our professionals with a competitive compensation package.
