If you are really desparate, use PICTURE="####-##-##" and FORMAT = "YYYY-MM-DD" and enforce DBDATE=Y4MD-. Now the user cannot get to the MM and DD part without typeing 4 digits in the year. Probably, you don't want to force the users to type 4 digits for the year. You only want the program to display what the user entered with 4 digits for the year, and with sufficient check constraints on the specific columns to validate that the value is plausible if they entered 2 digits for the year and I4GL supplied the century. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
