C library to Connect INFORMIX db server

Hi, We have an application written in C, which connects to Sybase database. The application uses a library called "libsybdb.a" given by SYBASE to connect to Sybase and access data. The application also needs to connect to Informix database server, to fetch some information. How can I do that???? Is there any library available in Informix to be used along a C program??? You access Informix servers using Embedded SQL in C (ESQL/C) or using the CLI libraries which are essentially the same funtion names as the Sybase functions and would probably clash. You will probably have to us ESQL/C or make the Informix access app a separate executable communicating via IPCs. Art S.
