Hmm... I'd figured this part out myself. I have all three free
packages. I've been testing the SE package, and it works great. So then I
decided to test ESQL. Hmm... I have it installed alright... Here's the
directory structure:
drwxr-xr-x 10 informix informix 1024 Jul 23 20:08 ESQLC
drwxr-xr-x 7 informix informix 1024 Jul 23 20:07 ICONNECT
-r--r--r-- 1 informix informix 709 Jul 14 11:20 README.TXT
-r--r--r-- 1 informix informix 694 Jul 14 11:20 README.UNX
drwxr-xr-x 11 informix informix 1024 Jul 27 20:20 SE
I go into ESQLC, and run ./bin/esqldemo7 ... It complains about not
finding .../SE/demo/esqlc/mkstores! Uh oh... So I change INFORMIXDIR...
Nope. That gets me closer, but it's a false lead. Obviously I missed
something important. What is it?
