Let's work to pass Microsoft Access, ranking 7th... Or eventually find a meaningful ranking? :) On Tue, Jan 30, 2018 at 11:55 AM, Art Kagel <art.kagel@gmail.com> wrote: > Folks: > > DBEngines.com just posted their 2018 rankings and Informix is up from 25th > place in 2017 to 24th in 2018! > > https://db-engines.com/en/ranking > > Not bad for a dead, unsexy, legacy database system! > > Art > > Art S. Fernando, If one reads between the lines, the db-engines ranking is mainly based on how difficult to use each DBMS is, and how frequently people have to solve issues and cannot do it by themselves because it's too complicated and the products are not stable :-) So yes, in this case, Informix is not in the top ranking .... BTW, I am not sure many people here have contributed or even seen this ranking website and what they say about Informix https://www.g2crowd.com/products/informix-enterprise-edition/reviews and tell me about it ... If you are happy with Informix, why don't you fill a review ?
