Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
I am running into a performance problem with an Informix database using
text blobs. The issue is queries that include text blobs are REALLY
slow even when they don't contain any data.
It seems to be a networking issue somehow because the server is in
another state and the performance issue only happens on this side of
the network.
I have read post about place blob fields on a separate physical drive
to increase performance. Could this be the case. Is there any low
level Informix call I can make to speed up the Query. In most
instances, this is a simple SELECT statement.
Thanks for your assistance.
