I changed $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts and created one entry: ep01_net_shm onipcshm eprospector01 shmconThe database server initialized and sysmaster and sysutil were created. I then added the following line back to $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts: ep01_net ontlitcp eprospector01 idswe2 The appropriate entry exists in /etc/services for idswe2 on port 1525/tcp. Doesn't the output from 'netstat -an|grep 1525' indicate there is already a process listing to port 1525 and that is why oninit cannot bind?
