Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I downloaded and installed Intersolv's (Merant's) DataDirect ODBC
driver/driver mgr. for Linux (Red Hat 6.1). I already had a working 7.2
SE database on the same system. I defined the DSN (see attached
odbc.ini) but all attempts to connect return the following error:
NATIVE ERROR = -952
MSG = [INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver][Informix]User's password is not
correct for the database server.
I assume this user/password combination to mean the Linux login/password
as I'm not aware of SE having any such authentication(?). The
login/password pair are valid on the system (my account). I can connect
to the database fine via dbaccess or isql, etc.
What am I missing?
Many thanks.
