Hey everyone, I am running RHEL 6 Linux with Informix 11.70. I would like to use the backup filter to encrypt my backups to file system. I am told the there are free encryption products already installed on Red-Hat, can any one tell me what they are? Specifically what would I replace the gzip lines with to instead get encryption. 1. On UNIX and Linux platform: 2. BACKUP_FILTER /usr/bin/gzip 3. RESTORE_FILTER /usr/bin/gzip -d -c -- Will chat again soon, Kate katedarts@gmail.com
Check out command line openssl, filter could be something like Openssl enc -aes-256-cbc -e Cheers Paul -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Kate Tomchik Sent: Tuesday, November 14, 2017 1:01 PM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: BACKUP_FILTER [40192] Hey everyone, I am running RHEL 6 Linux with Informix 11.70.
