Re: How to return the ASCII code of a letter?

Paul AFAIK, fgl_getenv() is a function that returns the value of the environment variable. For example running LET mylogname = fgl_getenv("LOGNAME") from within your 4GL script will return into mylogname the login name that you are currently logged in as. To get the ascii code, shouldn't you be using the ORD() built-in SQL function? There is an informix funcrion FGL_GETENV("a") will return 95 for example. Will that do the trick? Paul Wheeler Leaderflush+Shapland
