Therefore i tried to use the alter table statement. I always failed due a long transaction (My high water markers are 50 and 60) . The real problem is, that just i have few diskspace (for dbspaces and logging) and the tables, which i want to alter, contains quite a lot of data. Is there a way to use alter table with no logging (which i do not really want to make!! But it seems to me, that alter table just creates temorary tables and makes a lot of inserts and deletes and loggs everything) or do i have to unload the data, change the table structure and reload the data. Thank's for any ideas. -- ================================================================== Arnold Pfeiffer SIEMENS PSE KB311 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gudrunstrasse 11 A-1101 Wien email: pfei@ws6a37.gud.siemens.co.at Tel.: +43-1-1707 -45913 ================================================================== --------------5FD5A9FA8F5610439F647F67 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <HTML> I have to change the structure of some tables of my database (Renaming and adding columns).
